The Elevator Statement and Executive Summary – Two Key Elements of Companies’ Fund-Raising Kit
Come learn the two most basic elements in an entrepreneur’s fund raising bag of tricks. Ralph Patterson will conduct a hands-on workshop where the principals and the dos and don’ts of elevator statements and executive summaries are presented. Then the audience will be challenged to create an elevator pitch of their own and to outline an executive summary for their business.
To get the most out of this session, attendees should think in advance of:
• Who are your customers?
• What do you offer them?
• How do they benefit?
• Why is it better than what they have now?
• How do you make money?
• How much money will you make in five years?
• How much money do you need now?
Who Should Attend
Entrepreneurs who are serious about raising capital but who have been unsuccessful, CEOs, managers and founders of start-ups, or anyone thinking about starting a company and unsure of the steps.

| East Bay Innovation Group (eBig) - For those of us who live and work in the San Francisco East Bay, it can be difficult to find time to attend events down in Silicon Valley, over in the City, or in the North Bay. For many, living in the East Bay is a quality of life decision – more affordable housing, great schools, more time with our families – but one sacrifice has been the ability to take advantage of all of the great technology forums and workshops offered outside of our area.
The technology community in the East Bay is growing rapidly, and yet existing networking and technology groups have been slow to respond to the huge demand. Until now!
The mission of the East Bay Innovation Group (eBig), is to create a dynamic community that taps into the local resources and knowledge of area businesses, professionals, city and local governments, entrepreneurs, technically skilled employees, venture capitalists, and industry experts to benefit from shared involvement.
eBig, a non-profit regional organization, creates public-benefit partnerships with government, education, business and the community. |
